Ferrari's Little Italy & Bakery is located in the heart of Madeira, across from Madeira Kroger. Ferrari's is an authentic Italian Restaurant featuring Northern & Southern fare with excellent value & generous portions. Ferrari's has been operating for over twenty years and is family owned and operated by the Bassano family. The restaurant has two private dining rooms available for private parties, rehearsal dinners, corporate meetings, or family gatherings. Ferrari's Little Italy Ratings and Reviews
Ferrari’s always delivers a great dining experience. We happened to arrive on a rainy night where there was an overflow crowd due to power outages. Our server never missed a beat despite the crowds. We all enjoyed appetizers, the incredible Ferrari salad and a great entree. And we will only order Tiramsu at Ferrari’s as every other place doesn’t hold a candle to their phenomenal dessert.
Food was at best ok nothing special, service was ok. For the money, they could at least give us a small house salad. Ordered cappuccino it was cold. Hate to say but you get more for your money at Bravos or Carrabas and I would rather go to an independent. I tried.
It was a particularly busy evening because I believe a large party of about 20 was there along with the normal patrons. This made the staff disorganized and frantic. We ended up being seated 30 mins after our scheduled reservation - not exaggerating. However, the food was still consistently good and our waitress was great - if not over-apologetic. This visit was disappointing but that's not our normal experience at Ferrari's. I'm confident we'll return in the future and be pleased with the experience.
I think the food is o.k., but the menu for lunch is very brief. They could offer more choices and have more pasta dishes. The place is cozy and comfortable, but be sure to call for directions because it's not seen from the street. If it's evening, you'll also miss the turn-in sign off Miami Rd. I would recommend this restaurant, but for supper and not for lunch.
My husband and I were out for Sweetest Day hoping to enjoy a nice meal while our kids were with a babysitter. We were greeted right away by the hostess, a young female was told to seat us, she then asked a young male to seat us. He did but we were told there were no menus, only paper menus (no big deal to us). We were seated and greeted by another younger male who was our server. He was friendly but was in a hurry . He takes our drink order, comes back with our drinks and asks if we are ready to order. We order bruschetta as an appetizer and a pizza and salad as our meal. As we are waiting we see everyone else is being served a basket of bread almost immediately after sitting down, we were never offered bread. Our server brings us our salad first. We get the bruschetta a little later, no appetizer plates. We are waiting and waiting for our pizza, took forever to get refills when our drinks were noticeably empty. Our server never cleared our table of our salad plate or our empty glasses. He then comes to our table and asks if we are ready for our check, we said we haven’t received our pizza yet, he looks shocked and said oh let me go check on that, he comes back and says are you sure you ordered pizza...we said yes. He asked if we wanted him to go ahead and get a pizza started but it was already an hour into our meal with no dinner yet and we did not have time to wait for a pizza to be made when we should have been finishing up our meal. The salad and bruschetta were good but the service was absolutely terrible. The only reason I gave two stars overall is because we spoke to the manager upon leaving and she handled the situation properly. She apologized and refunded our money and offered us a pizza but at that point we had to get back home to our kids. We had been dying to try Ferrari’s for awhile. I think if they had servers who were a little older that things would have been better. There were a lot of younger kids working (I’d say between 16-18).
We went there on Saturday. It was a little noisy as we sat in the back room. I would have rather sat in the main dining area as it was more appealing. The food and service were both great as well as the wine selections. We especially liked the calamari and stuffed mushrooms We will definitely be back!
Great Italian food with servings enough to take a full meal home, even when you order the "small" portion. The "large" portion is clearly for family style eating.
They even have anchovies for the Caesar salad.
One item missing from their menu is a pasta with white clam sauce, something I usually look for in an Italian pasta restaurant.
Consistently good with eggplant dishes.
Party of 6. Not enough silverware for our table, not enough menus for our table, table protruded into a high traffic area, which was distracting for those at the table - asked if we could be moved to another table, they could not accommodate. Had they had a table for four in the same spot, it would not have stuck out into traffic. Servers seemed to have a bit of a spat going on - we could only get water for half of our table for a long time.
Main courses were fine - deserts not so much. Pistachio gelato had some pistachio gelato with equal amounts of chocolate and maybe cherry- couldn't tell, but it wasn't good.
Not sure what has happened here - this used to be a "go-to" restaurant for us and while the food was fine, I would not call it fine dining. The service and overall experience was disappointing and amateur. Must have had a change in management and maybe chef over last year or so - the restaurant used to be significantly better.
Love the food and relaxed atmosphere. We have taken several other couples with us from time to time. Lasagna is always a favorite. Variety basket of bread served - something for everyone.
Relaxed service - do not be in a hurry and be patient - it is worth the wait. Quality of service varies - never bad, but sometimes great - sometimes just ok.
We had a reservation for 8 people. When we arrived, there were 3 people at the hostess stand. It quickly became clear that they were not prepared nor organized. They did not have a table ready for us. The 3 "hostesses" gave us 3 different explanations. Finally saying it would be awhile before a table would be available. Meanwhile, they kept seating parties of 5 and 6 that arrived after us.
So, what's the point of making a reservation for a large group?!?
One of our guests was an 86 yo woman who cannot stand long. Unacceptable. Someone must have involved management who acted to find us a table. They ultimately walked us to a round table meant for 5 or 6 people. Luckily, the experienced waitress immediately saw the problem. She dragged over a 2-person table to add at one end to give us a little more space. Our waitress was the only reason they evening wasn't completely ruined.
