Felice is a mini-chain from the people behind Sant Ambroeus, and the location on 83rd is one of the better date spots in the area.
The food was good....pappardelle and the butternut squash crostini were the highlights. But the service was non existent! It was hard to track the waiter done throughout our lunch.
The price fixe lunch was well-prepared, creative and generous. The wait staff, particularly Anna, was professional, helpful and attentive. This was an excellent Yorkville neighborhood choice.
I have been many times. Lunch or dinner. Different days and nights. I have never been disappointed in food or service. For me a wonderful neighborhood restaurant. Highly recommend . I’ve had veggies, soup, pasta and fish entree at various times. All good. One of my favorites!!!
We ate here 2 nights in a row. The first evening it was quite early and the place was quiet and the food delicious. The second evening we were late, it was a Friday, and while the food was still delicious, the place was very noisy with thumping techno music. Everybody had to almost shout over the music. We were assured that it was only because of the weekend that the music was happening. So, if you are looking for good food and quiet conversation, don't go on Friday or Saturday!
Food and service equally very good. A pleasure going there.
Initial waiter abrupt, not attentive, said he was too busy. Manager finally became the waiter, did a great job and the food was terrific.
The team was very nice. I loved how the whole dinner was paced and I enjoyed the delicious food!
This is very cozy restaurant although the space is very tight. The food is very good for the restaurant week menu. Highly recommend to others.
The food is as great as the atmosphere. My boyfriend and I went to grab some dinner and ended up on a romantic date! We split cacio e pepe which was very good. I had the branzino - big portion size and tasty. My boyfriend had the burger which was also very good. We will definitely be back!
Nice staff but very limited menu and not a traditional Italian restaurant. Nice venue however, seats are not comfortable with mats on the seats that hang from above. Food was good.
Second visit disappointing. Hadn't expected a brunch menu at lunchtime on a Monday, but learned it was a holiday. Linguine di Mare overcooked and service only fair but liked it so much the first time that I'd try again.
Had a great brunch here!
The food is delicious and it's a great place to go if you want to linger and talk with your companions for a while. No one will rush you out the door. The only negative is that it can take a long time for the food to come out initially and there can be a longish wait between courses. If you're not in a rush it's very relaxed, pleasant spot and, again, the dishes are really good. The price fix three course lunch on weekdays ( not sure about weekends) is terrific food wise and a great value at $26.
Very Disappointing, after reading so many good reviews we decided to try it , but it fails miserably compared to its sister restaurants, the room is charming but drafty every time the door open you feel it , the food is sub par the appetizers Calamari were drenched in oil , the seafood pasta was in a tasteless tomato sauce it would have been mutch better with just some olive oil , the steak was just ok , et strange enough even the deserts were subpar.
Felice is great for afternoon lunch with friends. The inside is very cozy, winter-resort feel. The food is delicious, the deal for a three course lunch on weekdays is perfect.
Simply outstanding food. Good value. Cozy. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner; and the bar next door is a great gathering spot.
Food was good if slightly lackluster. Soft techno music kept the atmosphere from being charming. Service was pleasant but not especially helpful or inspiring. Bathroom needed attention and could benefit from unscented soap. Overall so-so.
We were very disappointed. The good was bland, it needed better seasoning. The waiter was attentive and the restaurant is decorated nicely, but the food was nothing special
Lunch was a very pleasant affair. The prix fixe lunch had a wonderful selection of items.
The salad appetizer my guest ordered was very much enjoyed. I had the mini arancini
which were absolutely delicious. My guest's pasta with pepper and olive oil was
devoured. However, my arrabbiata was underseasoned and too heavily sauced.
The chocolate cakes with ice cream were luscious. I will not hesitate to return to
Magnífico! One of the best Italian restaurants in town
My sister, mom, and I had a fabulous lunch that was delicious and lovely.
Great all around. Food, service, atmosphere.
Portions are nicely sized, service is always slow, it's quite dark. I'm a repeat eater there!
Night after night excellent food, nicely served. We enjoy the outdoor seating!
Yet again excellent food, nicely served, and not extremely expensive!! We enjoyed sitting outside!
It's was great . I'll be back
Best Italian in NYC, good value, great staff and you feel like you are in Italy.
The food is good, the service is great.
Plus, we went back the next day to look for someone's glasses. The couldn't find them, but a few minutes later we were half way down the block, and the manager came running down the block with the glasses. They really went out of the way to help.
Everything always delicious and my husband says "maybe the best salmon dish in the city"! Very good service. We go back as often as we can.
We booked for convenience as the restaurant was close to where we were staying. We had excellent service and the food was really good. Perhaps a little pricey but we would go again.
Excellent food and attentive service. A bit noisy inside, but on a balmy night we ate outdoors!
Service was very slow but good and atmosphere is terrific
We discovered this restaurant thanks to "Restaurant Week". The food was excellent and the wine pairings with the Restaurant Week menu were fantastic. Very happy with the service as well. I have to give kudos to the waitress who was serving the table next to us. One of the ladies had A LOT of questions about every option and seemingly, a lot of dietary restrictions. She even needed several minutes of consultation with the ever-patient server to choose her flavour of gelato. The server was patient and polite throughout and never lost her smile. While I did find the prices a little on the high side, I would go back.
So, we tried Felice 83 during Restaurant Week. Their RW menu had a nice selection. I had the veal meatballs as an appetizer and it was out of this world! I would have made a meal out of that and a small plate of pasta! For dinner I had wide pasta with a sausage meat with porcini mushrooms. Again, wonderful! Desert was gelato - they had several flavors. I had lemon and strawberry - a great choice. All in all, I recommend Felice 83!
I wanted to have a nice mother and daughter moment. It was perfect.
I am always impressed by Felice. Their summer menu is great even for hot days. I had a great night out with my father after an afternoon at the ballet. The meal was done just right, the wine as great. The host is very pleasant always greeting me with a smile. We go back regularly and will continue to do so!
Service was a bit abrupt and food was fine but not great. Have enjoyed a far better meal here on a previous occasion. I would probably go again but with a little less enthusiasm!
Very good food and terrific service. We are fortunate to have Felice 83 in our neighborhood. It's a little pricey but worthy.
Have eaten in Felice on 65 st and 83d st. Both have excellent pasta and a really good wine list. Highly reccomend.
Creative menu, excellent preparation of food and attentive service. What more can a customer ask for? Nice neighborhood spot. I recommend Felice and I would go back again.
