Feile Ratings and Reviews
A friend recommended this restaurant to me and I wasn't disappointed! I wanted somewhere to go before a Rangers game. Everyone who works here is friendly and attentive. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious. The waitress recommended one of the seasonal beers and I loved it. They had a good crowd at the bar but we sat at a table in an adjoining room. I would highly recommend Feile!
Local favorite. Almost could not move inside at first due to pre-game crowd. Decided to go upstairs where it was a bit less crowded. By mid-meal, the restaurant was almost empty since the game was about to start. Service top notch and friendly, very reasonable prices, excellent food.
The food at Feile is always delicious and priced extremely reasonably for NYC. However, if you go during a sporting event, expect the noise volume to be at it's highest. Conversation even in the side dining room, is going to be difficult. But late at night, the ambiance is quite different, almost cozy.
We had a nice lunch at Feile on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The restaurant is located just down the block from Madison Square Garden. Nice beer menu. Bar food was tasty. Good portion sizes and flavorful burgers, fries and chicken sandwich. Staff was friendly and accomodating. The owners must be huge Seattle Seahawks fans because there were flags everywhere in anticipation of Sundays game. Definitely would reccommend if you're looking for a good comfort food in that area.
Dined here for the first time a few weeks ago. The hostess and server were friendly and helpful. The beer selection isn't quite as stellar as Stout, their next door neighbor, but it's still way better than the vast majority of Irish pubs in the area.
My wife had the roasted tomato soup and thought it was great. She also recommends the crispy pistachio crusted goat cheese. I've eaten my share of fish and chips through the years and if I've ever had better than I did at Feile I definitely don't remember it. The ale and pretzel crust was unique, tasty and not at all greasy. The portions were generous.
Good dessert choices. The chocolate cake was excellent. We'll be back the next time we're in NYC.
This was my 2nd visit to Feile. My first visit was in October, 2016. My friend and I had a table in the far dining room and we liked it so much, we promised to revisit when I returned to NYC.
This time I was meeting several of my old college buddies for a long overdue get together. The only thing I regret is not requesting a reservation in the far dining room away from the bar. The music was rather loud at times and made conversation difficult. The food was excellent - my Fish and Chips were authentically prepared and absolutely delicious. Be sure to try their Jamison's Whiskey Cake for dessert - YUM!!
I can't wait to return to NYC for another reunion with my friends and a great dinner at Feile! :)
I booked my reservation through open table and was seated right on time. We went before a concert at the garden and it worked out perfectly. We both lived our entree's the food is really good. I had a side order of their Parmesan fries and the were so good worth every calorie. I would defined recommend it.
My team of three's Holiday luncheon at Feile was nothing to celebrate. There was another large group and they were getting all the service. Food was fine but the service was terrible. We kept having to ask for what we needed. We finally decided on a dessert to share, however, it was all gone. Waiters could let guests know if any desserts are all gone when they deliver the dessert menu. I'd be hard pressed to return for lunch or dinner after this experience.
I phoned ahead to say we'd be early, a party of 8, and that I needed a high chair.
Upon arrival there was no "reserved" table, but our party was seated in a nice spot.
We asked for the high chair, but were told it was broken-leaving us no option but to hold a 5 month old baby while we ate.
Service was exhausting slow via our waiter. We were there 2 1/2 hours!
One of our members cannot eat meat or gluten and therefore inquired about a certain salad on the menu. She was told there was NO meat in it-again, not the case. Her salad arrived with meat. The waiter was informed, took back the food but did not offer her anything else-nor did he remove the item from the bill.
I paid the check in full having forgotten about the returned meal and inquired about a refund which was promptly returned by the hostess/manager.
You see, the waiter was no where to be found.
As we waited by the door for our ride, the owner ( I believe) introduced herself and apologized for the mishap. She also returned another amount to me as she comped our dessert and coffee too.
Overall, the meal was good, atmosphere was nice, waiter was horrible, but the owner and managers knew exactly what to do to appease their customers.
For that, I am greatfull.
Was here pre-Billy Joel at MSG. Great vibe. Started to pack in around 5:30-6. Switched TVs and background music to a taped Billy Joel concert about 6:30 and energy level and atmosphere was great as everyone was getting juiced. Food was surprisingly good, particularly the apps.
While in NYC for a 'date weekend', my husband and I reserved a table at Feile as our last meal in the city before departing home. The chicken pot pie, while a little spicy was good--the only complaint my husband had was that there was no cottage pie (They'd run out earlier).
