Feeney's Restaurant and Bar Ratings and Reviews
Known for their prime rib and it is a good value for the price. And they always have a basic salad bar with tasty dressings and crisp veggies. It was Fathers Day so the restaurant was a little busy so service was slower and less attentive than usual. Food arrived a little cold and bread basket to go with the salad bar never arrived. Also, we had to tell the server we wanted to,order dessert rather than being asked.
The place doesn't look like much, but the food is amazing. I gave service 3 stars only because the night we went, there only seemed to be a single waitress working and the place was mostly full. Her attitude was excellent and she did the best she could with all of her customers, it would have been nice to have had a bit more attentive service though. I could be totally off base or they could have had staffing issues that day. Either way, I'll be returning for the best Prime Rib in Phoenix again.
Three of us met for a casual work dinner at Feeney's. My colleagues had never been before and I had not been there for a few years. I was happy to see that it is still the charming locally owned and operated establishment with good food, pleasant ambiance and great service. We could easily maintain our conversation without yelling. Service was attentive without being obtrusive. Prices were very reasonable. I will gladly return!!
Had three very good ribeye steaks cooked exactly as ordered. Very flavorful, great twice baked potato and excellent salad bar. Old time restaraunt, Maria was a fantastic hostess/waitress, very personable, engaged and fun..."baby".
Would definitely go again. Very good value.
First time visit to Feeney's, and we were a little hesitant driving to it as it seemed to be in a residential area. Saw lots of newer cars parked in their lot, so went inside. What a gem!! The food was superb and the service left nothing to ask for. Will I go back next time I'm in Scottsdale? Absolutely.
My family made a dinner reservation at Feeney's while vacationing in the Phoenix area. It had a comfortable neighborhood feel and made us bemoan the lack of neighborhood, family-owned, non-chain restaurants near our home in the suburbs of Washington, DC. The service was attentive and charming. The prime rib and steaks were prepared exactly as instructed and the salads and sides were also of good quality and well-prepared. Portions were large - too large for us - but we couldn't resist sharing the mud pie dessert. The three of us were perfectly satisfied. If we didn't live on the other side of the country, we would certainly go back.
What a wonderful place to bring friends to for a great meal and enjoy an evening together! Every staff person who came to our table made us feel like "one of the family"! Thank you to George and Maria especially! We and our friends will be back, hopefully with more friends so we can have the private room up front!!
Food was delicious-especially the prime rib! My steak was a little undercooked but they put it back on the grill (not the microwave as often happens) with a smile and then it was perfect! Accommodated dairy allergy and food still tasted great! Wine list was a little weak, but it won't stop us from coming back. The best part was the service and warmth shown by all the staff!! Return trip is worth it for that alone!
Old school all the way. Nothing seems to have changed here since the 60's or 70's including the menu. All the meat dishes are excellent - prime rib, filet, liver & onions, Salisbury steak. Onion rings excellent. Same with twice baked potato. Salad bar is more of a novelty. Take a history lesson along with your chilled metal plate and conjure a time before the farm to table movement. Did I mention generous drink pours and adequate wine offerings at bargain prices? Don't do it everyday, but enjoy it when you do. This place is is very worthy addition to anyone's repertoire.
