About this restaurant

Feed Body + Soul is a health conscious California diner. this is the kind of place where those looking to lose weight or simply eat cleaner can go to get dishes that are right for their dietary restrictions and also full of flavor. Feed lacks any air of pretense, something that often comes with the territory of healthy eating restaurants. On the contrary, Feed is an extremely friendly and casual restaurant where everyone is welcome. Feed's menu doesn't focus on region, but more on lifestyle. There are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and paleo options for diners to peruse. Popular items here include a hummus and eggplant pita pizza, Indian spiced cauliflower, grilled yellow fin tuna over fennel, fresh pappardelle bolognese, fish tacos and a vegetarian breakfast sandwich with fried egg, roasted red pepper, caramelized onions and feta cheese.

I booked through open table and we waited for 35 mins to be seated. The hostess told us after 5 mins that the table was almost ready and then we never saw her again. There was nobody at the hostess table for the next 30 mins. I asked about 3 other servers or bar staff and they each went off but never had an answer. Eventually we had to ask for the manager and he came and seated us. We were then sat by the door to the bar and a band was playing throughout. It was not too much of a nuisance. However after booking and then waiting way too long, there was not much apology and no offer to make up for it. It was really disappointing. I am a local and have always enjoyed Feed (the food is great) I don't think I will risk booking in the evening again, there is too much choice on Abbot Kinney.

WOW. GO. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED... Clean, beautiful, calm... The ambiance, the friendly front staff, the informed & very helpful waitress, & THEN THE FOOD WOWOWOWOWOW. Indeed interesting in the reading of the menu items, the anticipation of actual taste was high, and absolutely achieved - dish after dish after dish after dish AND then dessert. What a complete experience. Cannot wait to go back and bring family.

I hadn't been to Feed for over a year and was sad to see the famous salmon bowl was absent from the menu. In fact, the menu had changed entirely. However, my sadness was turned to joy when I got my food. The fish of the day, Mahi Mahi, was served with Bok Choy and a beautiful curry sauce. I also tasted my friend's ling cod- the special of the day (ok I tasted it twice) and my sister's salmon. Delicious. All of it. Even better, our server (more on him later) told us where our fish came from. I just love when a restaurant is mindful of where they get their food and when they offer up that information. Our fourth date was late and he brought a surprise guest but Feed was not discouraged. They amiably added a chair to our table. The boys ordered like kings – ribs, Caesar salad, more salmon, and brussels sprouts. And lots of cocktails. I was too full to try any of it but it was gone soon after it was put on the table so I can say with confidence that they also enjoyed their meals. Back to our server. Adolphus was a doll. At different times, we all commented on how easy he was on the eyes. Most importantly, he was classy, playful, attentive and knowledgeable. We finished dinner with two orders of the butterscotch Pot de creme (Adolphus' favorite), one order of the flourless chocolate cake, and a pot of mint tea. Wonderful.

Excellent Kale salad, catch of the day and tuna tartar. Quiet enough for actual conversation as well as a lovely selection of music. We will return.

We like lots of small plates. Love the outside eating. Friendly crew. It is upscale but not pretentious. We always look forward to going and are rarely dissapointed

We were looking for a place to have dinner with my Uncle, in town from Japan. We found FEED! The menu is an interesting blend of styles of food, kind of an Asian inspired menu, but also has a few really delicious looking pastas. We ended up ordering three starters, an entree each and a surprisingly delicious flour less chocolate cake for dessert. The scallops were really delicious with a subtle hint of heat, the tuna tartare was really nice with mango. My salmon seemed a little over-seasoned, but my husbands Pork Chop was delicious and was my Uncle's Hangar Steak. The cake had some essence of mint or something that made it more interesting than a normal flour less chocolate cake. And if you can get sat in the back indoor/outdoor room, it's just beautiful. We'll go back!

Went for lunch on MLK day. We were 2 women who were virtually ignored by our server forcing me to violently wave my arms to get water, beverage, place order and pay bill. Seriously? And the food was average at best. My sandwich was dry. My friend hated her weird-flavored ice tea. Hackneyed trendy menu. Too many other spots to go to...phooey!

Had dinner with my husband here and we enjoyed it. Service was superb. The food was excellent. We tried a number of small plates. The crispy brussels sprouts were amazing and the Thai Chicken Skewers were huge and satisfying. Wonderful indian spiced cauliflower too. Fun place for a date night.
