Historically known as the George and Dragon, dating back to 1850, this building is one of Birmingham’s oldest. After reopening in 2016 as The Pig and Tail by Mark Rafferty, it retained its Victorian charm while introducing modern elements. Now reimagined as Temper and Brown, run by Roifield Brown and the Brown family, it continues the legacy of a neighbourhood bar while evolving into a dynamic space for Birmingham. The interior blends traditional pub aesthetics with modern touches, including colourful leather seating, low armchairs, and large windows that fill the space with natural light. Our kitchen offering changes throughout the week. Tuesdays feature Japanese food from Kyoudai Ramen, Wednesday to Saturday showcases Caribbean fusion, and Sundays bring a Caribbean-style roast, putting a bold twist on a British classic.
