- MMARKChicago / Illinois •42 reviews4.0Dined on Jun 25, 2025I always enjoy this dining option because it combines the components that make for a great dining experience - Great service, inviting ambience, and excellent food. This is an inviting choice offering great Italian fare, nice beverage options and plenty of choices. I opted for the eggplant parmigiana, which was accompanied by a side of spaghetti. A classic dish that was well presented and an ample portion. Had a wedge salad to start and it was fresh, crisp and delicious. My wife opted for the beef short rib manicotti, which was a special and found it to be satisfying and unique. My daughter ordered her old standby, fettucine alfredo. This dish was rich and redolent of butter and cream. One of the key highlights was the Sicilian style fried calamari, lightly breaded, with red pepper flakes, white wine and a bit of lemon, and garlic. I loved it as it is a unique presentation from the standard offering. All in all a very nice experience that I recommend without hesitation. Service was attentive and efficient as well as pleasant.More infoGianni's Cafe - PalatinePrice: Moderate• Italian• Palatine•4.7
