Entering the Saloon, a family owned restaurant since it opened in 1967 is a bit like stepping into Philadelphia's past. Dark oak paneling, shiny brass and authentic local antiques create a warm congenial and casual atmosphere. The reservation was honored. The menu had several options. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass and I had the tuna. For dessert we had cappuccinos and the Greek cheesecake. Scrumptious. Our server, Gwen, was outstanding. She was attentive, personable, friendly and was helpful with her recommendations.

I didn’t know what half of the things on the menu were but everything we ordered tasted absolutely amazing. We also had cocktails that were delicious.
