- LLindavipGreater Boston •28 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoThe Conservatory is a very pleasant room with comfortable seating, lots of natural light and a low noise level. The food was quite good (we shared the cheese plate with fruit, crackers, chutney & honeycomb and enjoyed Caesar salad as the entree). The only shortcoming is a very limited lunch menu with either a salad or a substantial meal, nothing in between. That being said, we had a lovely time ~ everyone was very pleasant and engaging, the holiday decorations are bright and cheery and the regular decorative items are unusual and striking (horseshoe crab shells under glass and an intricate mahogany birdcage, just to name two). I certainly would return (and hope to), particularly in the spring to enjoy either a view of the garden or to eat outside in the garden. Prices are consistent with location, quality of food and level of service.More infoThe Dining Room at the VanderbiltPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Newport•4.5
- MMatthewGreater Boston •3 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 30, 2024The tea and food were fantastic! We also loves the aesthetic of the place. My only critique would be that the hostess is also a server, and the kitchen is in the back so if you have questions or need to check out you are kind of left waiting for a few minutes for someone to emerge. A minor detail as everything else was great! The chicken salad sandwich was a favorite in our group, as was the savory scone and lemon curd cupcake. The raspberry coffe cake macarons were also excellent!More infoSweet Marie's TeaPrice: Expensive• Afternoon Tea• North Kingstown•5

The service was great as well. I wish there was a little more variety of tea though. I will be going back next time I am in town.More infoSailor's Tea Hour at The VanderbiltPrice: Very Expensive• Afternoon Tea• Newport•4.2
