Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces.     From the Front Door to the servers to the band, the entire experience was outstanding. Food and drinks were quick and delicious. Servers were helpful but not obtrusive. Areas of improvement -- tables were a smidge small where we were seating. And parking in the area is quite difficult. Take an Uber, parking is rather tough. Otherwise an outstanding evening.

    We had a lovely meal at The Black Whale for our wedding anniversary. We are always so pleased with this restaurant group. We enjoy all of their restaurants, with The Black Whale being one of our favorites. We had the boom boom shrimp appetizer, two sushi rolls, an entrée on special, and the classic baked “old school New England cod.” Everything was delicious and the service was incredible. Five stars all around.
