Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in Excelsior

The food and service was outstanding! Great neighborhood gem for lunch.

Our party of 4 was surprised at how busy The Lake Room was on a rainy, chilly Thursday evening! We soon found out why. The food and service were excellent. I especially recommend the calamari appetizer and the pistachio crusted halibut entree. I'm sure the steaks were great too, but I'm trying to cut down on red meat. The small Caesar salad would have been large enough to share with my wife. The Lake Room offered a nice selection of cocktails, beers, and wines. We'll be back.

Food and drinks were really great! It was nice to try a combination that I wouldn’t ordinarily go for. The crust on the pizzas was fantastic. Our server was great at handling allergies and explaining the restaurant’s allergy procedures.

Our service was excellent from the hostess to our server, the gentleman removing our dirty dishes and two different managers checking in. The food tasted even better than it usually does and maybe that’s due to the new system of bringing the cheese already hot and mixed? Our server was excellent!
