Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Lake Forest

Pleasant, attentive service. Delicious meal and cocktails. Seasonal blueberry sangria and mai tai were amazing. This was our first time at L Wood and we look forward to returning soon.

Rosebud-Deerfield is an upscale Italian restaurant that delivers superb food in a nice environment. Service has been excellent both times we've eaten there and the vibe is laid back and easy going. On our most recent visit, one of us had the tortellini, another had the fusilli arrabiata, and the third diner had the filet mignon. We've had the tortellini before and it is exquisite. The fusilli arrabiata was also excellent; the arrabiata sauce was moderately spicy--enough to make it interesting, not so much as to burn the roof off your mouth. We were most curious about the filet, since that's not usually a staple of an Italian restaurant. It was excellent--comparable to the servings of a nearby upscale steakhouse in terms of the cut itself and the medium-rare perfection of the preparation. The three of us shared a Mediterranean salad and had enough left for a go-bag. The portions are hearty, and if you love pasta, this is about as good as it gets.

Love it here. Great veggies, interesting pasta combos. Love the trout and grilled chicken. They need a better wine selection like some from France or New Zealand. Terrific service.

Our waitperson, Mary Anne, was great. She gave wonderful recommendations. And our Iced tea glasses were kept full without overloading us with ice. Instead she brought us separate glasses of ice. We were seated about 6:45 and the restaurant was very crowded and consequently VERY noisy. However, by 8, it had thinned out and we were able to talk in normal tones. Food was excellent as well.

This restaurant, Enzo & Lucia, is one of my favorites. The people who own & work there are top notch & friendly. Their food is in a league of its own. Never disappointed & always surprised by their specials. If you are looking for some place special, this is definitely the place!!!
