The service was excellent, and the ambiance relaxed and informal. Both the trout and terrine were a delight as starters and we both had the chicken with shallots which was delicious. The crispy kale added a lovely salty bite to the dish. The elderflower fritter was an inspired dessert. Altogether a memorable way of celebrating an anniversary particularly as we were given a chocolate delice with marinated strawberries in honour of the occasion.
