- RRosellaNew York City •11 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe took advantage of restaurant week coinciding with my birthday. The Sunday brunch prix fixe menu had great choices. Bacon beignets were rich, flavorful and steaming hot. My lobster Benedict was delicious and included a generous portion of lobster. Husband loved his appetizer duck confit and fried chicken with waffles. Creme brûlée capped off a lovely and, yes, decadent meal.More infoThe Frog and the PeachPrice: Expensive• American• New Brunswick•4.5
- EEdNew Jersey •7 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoFor as many times as I have been here, it never fails to deliver. My wife and I like our staple menu items, red sangria and chicken with garlic sauce. The sangria is not overpowering, and the chicken is always juicy and not dry at all. With sides of yellow rice, veggies, and their famous potatoes (aka chips), you can't go wrong with this meal. This last visit, I opted to go with the pork chops in garlic sauce. 2 nicely cut chops along with the same sides. We had to skip the desserts since we were both pretty full and had to bring some of them home. Guess we ate a little too much for lunch and didn't save enough room for dinner. Best to make reservations, especially on the weekend. We were lucky enough to get a 5 pm seating. After that, there wasn't another opening until 8 PM. What really sets Fisherman apart is how well we are treated by the staff. They are cordial, helpful, and don't mind engaging in a little conversation with you. That personal touch is worth the value you receive when visiting. Two birthdays in the house, so, as is tradition, everyone in the room sings happy birthday to them, and then applause. Been going for years, and no plans to stop any time soonMore infoPortuguese FishermanPrice: Moderate• Portuguese• East Brunswick•4.8

Not only is the food great, but the entire staff makes sure that you feel and are treated like the most important guest. It is a rare and much appreciated trait. We started with the steamed clams…so fresh and garlicky. Sopped up every bit of the delicious sauce with the bread! Entrees were the halibut and a special of a fish called orate, much like branzino. Both plates included the celery root purée, which is amazing and never seen on an other menu. We shared the figgy bread pudding for dessert and it was wonderful. We washed it all down with one of our favorite white wines. A perfect celebration!!!!!More infoMetuchen InnPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Metuchen•4.8
