The National Exemplar Restaurant was named after learning that Mary Emery once referred to her developing community as the National Exemplar, meaning national model community.

We always enjoy coming here for a good, relaxing meal. The mushroom soup is a favorite every time. Our server, Madeline, was fantastic and delivered outstanding service. Can’t wait for our next visit!

We shared a bottle of wine that was listed as a special. A red blend from South Africa and it was really good! I had never had it. They explained the wine to us very well as they had just had a tasting with the wine rep the week prior. Our food was very good. Nice sized portions. Great service and we watched the derby so appreciated our table near the bar by the TV.

Nice spot for dinner with friends. Good craft cocktails made from their in-house liquor. Fried chicken with hot honey sauce was delicious.
