Best Historic Restaurants in Bowleys Quarters

One of my favorite restaurants on the water in Baltimore. Even on a warm evening, the outdoor seating is wonderful with plenty of breezes. Food is outstanding with beautiful presentations and yummy ingredients. Fresh shucked oysters are sweet and delicious.

our appetizers & drinks were fantastic - i drink just wine but my 3 companions loved their cocktails - the appetizers - some kind of lobster wonton, fried green tomatoes & something else were all fantastic - i had rockfish - absolutely spectacular - friends had pork chop & some tandoori vegetable dish - really inventive, subtle spices, all fabulous - really great evening

We started with the beef tartare, which was expertly prepared tableside—a beautiful and delicious performance that set the tone for the evening. I ordered the filet mignon Every bite was perfectly seasoned and artfully presented. The service was impeccable, with staff who were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing. The entertainment added another layer of sophistication and charm, creating an atmosphere that was both lively and intimate. Monarque is the epitome of an upscale dining experience—elegant, immersive, and truly unforgettable. If you’re looking for a night out that feels like something out of a dream, this is the place. It was my birthday the waiter Rickey was so sweet and helpful with the menu and the food especially the truffle cornbread was 10/10
