Try our Cluckin’ Fresh Chicken Fingers, made and seasoned with fresh, never frozen chicken tenders. This isn’t run-of-the-mill pub grub. Our Band of Chefs are influenced by a wide variety of tastes and have travelled across the globe to gain inspiration. But outside of the kitchen, we find it hard to take ourselves seriously. We have an Elvis booth. For no particular reason. Folks, that really does say it all. We’re sports fanatics, music nuts and love a good joke. The Local Cafe and Restaurant was created to offer experiential learning opportunities for our students. The Local is located at Centennial College, Progress Campus. At The Local, the hospitality, culinary and baking students learn in the restaurant as part of their embedded courses as well as their field placement's under the direction of our Faculty, Chef and Restaurant Technicians. From May 12 to August 13, 2025 our restaurant will offer an a la carte lunch menu from Monday to Thursday and a special BBQ Buffet on Fridays only. We aim to showcase flavours from around the globe, while highlighting Ontario suppliers on both our food and beverage menus.
