My family and I had a lovely evening celebrating my wife's birthday at this wonderful neighborhood bistro in Burlingame. The evening went effortlessly with prompt seating at a nice quiet window table. The service was five star, very attentive and on point. Recommendations were on target and execution was excellent. The one thing worth mentioning was that the medium rare filet I ordered came out medium. I was prepared to eat it, but mentioned this to our waiter who insisted he take it back for another attempt. The second steak came out medium rare and perfect to my expectations. Our waiter went above and beyond which is why I would again return to Chou Chou! We would highly recommend this restaurant for special occasions. The dishes we had and recommend include the Charcuterie appetizer, beet salad, tuna tartare appetizer, Seafood Ciappino, and the Filet Beouf. Their other dishes are also quite good, I suspect. Kudos to the soulful French vocals which created the ambience of bistro dining in Paris along the Seine.

Food and portions were excellent. Heaters made temperatures very nice. It was very noisy and service a bit erratic, but all servers helped each other when we needed it.

Excellent experience with good food and top notch, attentive and caring service. Would definitely return and the vast array of food items were amazing. The salad selections were plentiful and noteworthy.
