Best Fun Restaurants in West Gate

Food was good and so was the overall ambiance, it was just a but cold and loud.

Took my dad here for his 80th birthday. The restaurant is lovely and staff were incredibly nice and attentive. Our waiter was so kind and patient with my dad who is a bit high maintenance. We started with the oysters Rockefeller, pork belly and salads, which were all very good. Waiter kept bringing me rosé instead of vinho verde which was not a big deal. I had the veal scallopini, which I found a bit chewy and greasy for my taste. The gnocchi served with it however, was delicious. My husband had the vieras del minho which was good, but a little bland. My dad didn’t like his mahi mahi, but the staff was very accommodating in getting him another piece of fish that was more to his liking. I should have left more room as the dessert menu is extensive. My dad had the chocolate brownie which he said was excellent.

My friends and I had a fabulous lunch at Taste of Old Country! The food was wonderful, our waitress was so sweet and funny. We truly enjoyed our lunch and will definitely go back.

I'm not really a K-BBQ person, but I really liked this one! Food was excellent -- meats were much higher quality than the few others I've been to and the sides were also much tastier than I've had previously. Additionally, attentiveness of service staff was a lot better than the other K-BBQ restaurants I've been to -- much more friendly and much more on point in serving the table! Highly recommend and we'll definitely be back!

While they were short servers, the one we had (Gabriel) did a great job taking care of us. He was very pleasant despite how busy he was and got our orders perfect. We felt sorry for him but he didn’t seem too bothered how busy he was as he always had a smile on his face. They even had the hostess and manager pitching in to keep things going. And the food was very good and everyone in our group of six was very satisfied.
