- SSarahGran Boston •1 reseña5.0Comieron hace 3 díasA perfect summer’s day to celebrate a special achievement of an Oxford colleague was the beginning of an exceptional meal. As punters passed by on the waterway beside the boathouse, we enjoyed a delicious lunch and unhurried conversations. My starter of gazpacho was followed by a moist and meaty chicken breast surrounded by Milanese rice in a delectable lemon sauce. Although the serving was too generous for me to finish, I elected to conclude my meal with a light panna cotta served with raspberry coulis napping at its tender white mound. A Pinot Blanc was the refreshing wine we selected for our meal.Más informaciónCherwell BoathousePrecio: Caro• Europea moderna• Oxford•4.8

- CChrisDevõn •1 reseña5.0Comieron en 30 may 2025A great way to start a weekend away for a wedding. We booked The Plough as we were staying in the village. Recently refurbished with a selection of beers and ciders from independent producers and quite a local following in the bar. The food was where possible locally sourced, presented well and cooked beautifully, and ate as good as it looked. The wine selection is top drawer, not a selection to maximise the profit mix of a drinks wholesaler supplying the pub, i.e. poor new world wine of poor quality. I had a fab Merlot from Argentina that complemented the steak well. The service was excellent, attentive, friendly but not obtrusive. If you are in the area, this pub and its offering represents good all round value for money.Más informaciónThe Plough Inn, Marsh GibbonPrecio: Caro• Café / gastrobar• Marsh Gibbon•4.5
