Having been here before and absolutely loved it for its range of dishes was keen to return, as its the one place that catered amazingly to vegans with intolerances to Gluten, Mushrooms & Alliums. The very friendly staff, who are fantasic, were lovely as usual. Sadly, the updated menu has changed so a lot of the selection is no longer viable for those with the above mentioned intolerances though. They do change their menu regularly, which I'll be looking forward too, so can return in the future, as the current menu leaves very little to choose from compared to their previous offering. Hopefully the chef decides to use gluten free beer in their batter in the future, as their faux salmon was legendaryand recommended, but is no longer GF. Great cocktails. Great staff. Amazing food, just sadly on this visit options went from plenty to sparse. Would advise checking their upated menu online at time of booking, in the case you have intolerances yourself.

This was our first time eating at Plantuguese. The staff were very friendly and excellent with their recommendations. The Lions Mane with blue cheese sauce was delicious and I would highly recommend. I’m not vegan or vegetarian. I give the whole experience 11/10 and would recommend a visit while in Bristol 👌🏻

Good meal, quiet place, friendly people and good value

First time in a Vietnamese restaurant and won’t be my last for sure. Food was simply awesome in every respect - taste, presentation and quantity. We had pork dumpling and seafood crispy spring rolls for starters; followed by a rice dish and a noodle dish between 2 of us. We didn’t have space for dessert after that. Total bill was very reasonable at £57/-, which included my half pint of Vietnamese beer. The ambience, location, staff - all were great.
