The Queen Anne Victorian at 210 Savannah Road in Lewes, DE has stood tall for over 100 years. Built in 1899, Captain W. “Diver” Johnston at the age of 52 collaborated with his business partner (William H. Virden) to build a beautiful new house for him and his wife, Isabella. Records indicate that he paid $400 for the entire lot, one of the most prominent sites in downtown Lewes.Over the next 100 years, the Victorian structure built in the style of Eastlake, an English architect, served as a home for many families, including longtime Lewes Mayor, Otis Smith.The team at Raas is proud to continue the story of the Queen Anne Victorian.     We love this restaurant!!! Food was exceptional last night. The shrimp/ crab appetizer is totally amazing. As are the steaks and our favorite server Alex. Thank you for another great meal!!!

    We came at 2:15 for lunch- restaurant and hotel are charming! I came with my husband & daughter for my birthday lunch - our waiter came to take our drink order & I asked for Tangueray & Roses Lime Juice- the waiter looked stunned & said he never heard of Roses before- I was surprised but asked him to give me lime juice- we order appetizers and the main meal came while we still had our appetizers & was still EATING them- waiter never came by to refill water glasses - and didn’t offer us dessert menus- I guess he just wanted to finish his shift - I will come back but will not have him as our waiter again

    Houston White consistently offers excellent food and service. As soon as you walk through the door you feel welcomed from the hostess to our amazing server. It is a favorite of ours and highly recommend.
