Le Bouchon Brasserie & Hotel es un edificio de estilo georgiano de 300 años de antigüedad catalogado como grado II (En el Reino Unido los edificios de interés histórico o arquitectónico se enlistan de acuerdo al tipo de edificio. Los grado II son edificios particularmente importantes que despiertan un interés especial). El lugar ha sido objeto de un programa extensivo de decoración para restaurar el edificio a su antigua gloria. El periodo de renovación se utilizó para combinar algunas características de la época original de la construcción con muebles y decoración de estilo clásico que complementa la esencia original de la edificación. Le Bouchon Brasserie ofrece una mezcla de gastronomía francesa y británica en un entorno íntimo y relajado. Another excellent meal here. The menu was varied and each dish contained unusual elements which were so tasty. Beautifully cooked. Service was excellent and friendly.

We had a really nice lunch at the Punchbowl, it is pleasing to see it open as on previous visits to this part of Essex it has been closed. Food was excellent, very good beer from Wibblers Brewery and service was attentive and timely. i'm sure we'll be back. i dont usually do reviews but the Punchbowl deserved a good one!
