Best Seasonal Restaurants in Carlstadt

The service and interior were truly excellent — elegant, attentive, and beautifully designed. However, the food was a major disappointment. We spent €700 for four people, and sadly, enjoyed almost nothing from the menu. The tomahawk steak tasted as if it had been boiled — absolutely nothing like a proper steak. The meat was fatty, tough, and unpleasant to eat. The only dish we liked was the beef tartare, though it was oddly topped with a boiled egg yolk instead of raw, which didn’t make sense. Desserts were hit or miss: the ice cream was nice, but my berry dessert came with a strange white chocolate shell that didn’t melt — the texture was like modeling clay. To make things worse, I specifically asked for a decaf double espresso at the end of the meal, but was served regular coffee. As a result, I ended the evening with heart palpitations, anxiety, and a sleepless night. Apart from the Dom Pérignon, which is hard to go wrong with, the experience did not match the price or expectations.

Food good and staff great,provided a Birthday cake for a friend, the restaurant was very crowded and I kept being pushed by people going pass to the toilet. Also the door supervisor obviously spoke no English and made no attempt to point out a member of staff who could,we had booked a table and he was not going to let us in.
