Our dishes are influenced by our journeys around the world, childhood memories and seasonal changes. They are crafted using locally sourced ingredients of the highest quality, with a lot of care, and respect, for the environment that sustains us and the suppliers that share our hands-on approach. This is where the old and favourite flavours meet contemporary, Irish ingredients, in a smart casual restaurant suited to intimate small tables, social gatherings or larger groups, with a capacity of up to 275 people. This relocation is part of our commitment to providing you with an improved dining experience. We also wish to inform you that our restaurant operates exclusively on Fridays and Saturdays, featuring a delightful 3 courses buffet-style dining experience. During the remainder of the week, from Sunday to Thursday, all reservations will be graciously accommodated in the Lobby Bar area. Honey Fitz Bar & Restaurant is named after John Francis FitzGerald who was born in Boston in 1863 to an Irish immigrant family. Fitzgerald was a Democratic U.S congressman for Massachusetts, who won two terms as mayor of Boston and helped his grandson John. F Kennedy to win his first seat in Congress in 1946. FitzGerald’s theatrical style, personal charm, charisma and penchant for breaking into song at social events earned him the nickname ‘Honey Fitz’ - his gift of the gab became known as “Fitzblarney”. Honey Fitz Bar & Restaurant celebrates the deep cultural connections between Ireland and America, fusing timeless traditions with contemporary influences. The Winding Stair Bookshop & Café became a famous Dublin landmark in the 1970s and 1980s. Named after the Yeats poem and in honour of its winding staircase, it is overlooking the river Liffey, with an iconic view of the Ha'penny bridge. As a popular meeting place for writers, musicians and artists, it was a well known hub for debate and creativity with many poems written, novels penned and movies shot within its walls. In 2006, Elaine Murphy brought this much-loved spot back to life as a restaurant, championing seasonal, Irish produce. The bookshop, located on the ground floor, was retained, as were many of the old bookshelves, photos and memories. The room retains its timeless charm with stripped wood tables and floors, and Bentwood café chairs.The view remains as quintessentially Dublin as ever.The food is good, old-fashioned home cooking, with produce sourced from artisans within the island. Drink sare local and international craft beers & wines from stellar producers.
