Brilliant lunch with fab staff and a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

I cannot fault this place. A very busy summer evening, and yet the staff were calm, polite, attentive, managed our expectations around food wait and then delivered sooner than expected. The seafood and what they do with local veg is beautiful and delicious. Everyone feels welcome, all ages, big groups, small parties, solo diners. I love it so much. Thank you.

We opted to eat at the Lakeview Restaurant on arrival at the Clowance Estate and were pleased with our choice. A special mention has to go to the staff and the ambience. I can’t recall our waitress’s name, but she was attentive, friendly and very welcoming throughout our meal. The décor was vibrant and inviting, creating a lovely atmosphere for families. The food was well prepared and made with what felt like quality ingredients. My husband had the fish and chips, which was a generous portion, while my mum thoroughly enjoyed her steak. We ordered a children’s Margherita pizza, which was tasty, although children with bigger appetites may find the portion a little small. My son had the chicken burger, which was pleasant enough. For me, the standout dish was the lemon sole. It was beautifully cooked, tender and melted in my mouth. Easily the highlight of the meal. Dessert was fine, though nothing particularly memorable. The tiramisu was quite cream-heavy, so if you’re expecting a more traditional or authentic version, it’s worth bearing that in mind. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and found the combination of welcoming service, family-friendly atmosphere and well-prepared food made for a very pleasant dining experience.
