Best Romantic Restaurants in Washington Square

This is a solid place for brunch. My only complaint is the bagel chips on the smoked salmon tower are so thin they immediately fall apart. Not real world problems but a problem none the less. Everything we had was solid and I would recommend it.

Talula’s is our favorite for Sunday Brunch! We enjoy the farm to table menu options, the food is always delicious beyond expectation, and the service is excellent.

We had a wonderful dinner and a very lovely romantic setting. The restaurant has beautiful old world charm, and details with exposed brick and the beautiful old bar, the iron staircase and the cellar. We all enjoyed our food, and the wine selection was very nice. My seafood risotto was loaded with seafood and my husband’s veal shank was big and very flavorful. And I’m glad we each saved room for dessert.  The only downside was there were no specials. And I regret not getting an appetizer because there was no bread or salad. We just waited for our entrées.

We had 4 happy hour food choices and 3 drinks and a menu salad and a Paella. All were delicious and much more than we could eat there (we took some home)! The service was so good and our wait staff and hosts were happy and upbeat! We had fun talking with them! The ambience with subdued lighting and real candles made for a simple elegance worthy of selfies and a comfortable meal table. We could actually talk and hear each other as we dined! The manager came to our table and she is a delight.

Terrific homemade pasta that had us raving. Saffron seafood pasta and a salmon tagliatelle. Hospitable staff and owners.
