- JJonetteVIPCalifornia Central Coast •4 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoWhile the food and ambience are great here, today I was disappointed in the service. OpenTable users beware - they will not accept your dining rewards here although they claim to do so. They told me the dining rewards card declined, but upon calling the card company, their system showed that the server never attempted to use it. The lie left a very bad taste in my mouth.More infoFIVE on the HillPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Studio City•4

We celebrated our daughter Jasmine’s 23rd birthday at Palma Ristorante on a busy Friday night, and they made it a night to remember. From the moment we arrived, the service was kind and welcoming — both the hostess and our server, Melissa, wished Jasmine a happy birthday as we were seated on the cozy outdoor patio. The food was excellent all around. Jasmine ordered the Lobster Tail with a side of Lobster Gnocchi (which I also enjoyed), and I had the Seafood Cavatelli packed with shrimp, mussels, and clams. Gloria had the Lamb Chops, and Greg ordered the Chicken Portofino with a generous side of mashed potatoes. Everything was flavorful, well-portioned, and beautifully plated — the fingerling potatoes were a bit small but still delicious. What really stood out were the unexpected extras — including a complimentary salad and a special birthday lobster treat that made Jasmine feel extra loved. The food took a little while to come out, but it was a packed Friday night and we didn’t mind relaxing by the romantic outdoor fireplace in their soft, comfy chairs. The vibe is both upscale and inviting — perfect for a date night or special occasion. They did forget the birthday dessert, but no worries — we had a Nothing Bundt Cakes birthday cake waiting at home! One note for future diners: there are a few price discrepancies between the OpenTable menu and the restaurant’s current pricing (we noticed this with the Filet Mignon and Hanger Steak), so it’s worth checking Palma’s website or calling ahead to confirm. All in all, a memorable night with great food, thoughtful touches, and a warm atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back — maybe next time we’ll try sitting inside!More infoPalma RistorantePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Burbank•4.5

I don’t live near Firefly but I have dined there from time to time since they first opened 25 years ago and the food, service and ambiance have always been excellent. We enjoyed so much the crab cake and the salmon entree was expertly prepared as well as delicious. A bottle of delicious French Chabils complimented everything perfectly and the courtyard ambiance was very plesant.More infoFirefly - Studio CityPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Studio City•4.7
