Malin is a small neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Rathdowne Village, Carlton North. Set in an 1880s property on the corner of Curtain and Rathdowne streets, the site has been renovated to honour the heritage of the building. The food menu, developed by Chef Clement Pilatre, samples European cuisine and showcases seasonal produce and frequently changing dishes. Vatutto is a family run restaurant, Owners Paul and Myrto Recinella moved from their 16 year Institution at Zios East Melbourne to the Ivanhoe location in 2015. A full renovation was completed recently creating a modern yetelegant atmosphere. Vatutto translates from Italian to ‘Everything goes’ the menu here has a diverse flavour selection from all corners of the earth. Produce here is sourced from premium suppliers, and we use sustainable seafood from Australian or New Zealand waters, Wagyu beef from Gippsland, organic eggs, fruit and vegetables, and quality imported cheese, dairy products and flour. Bread is baked daily and all desserts, pastries and ice cream are all made on the premises using quality ingredients.

    Upon finally being acknowledged after arriving, then seated, we thoroughly started to have a fantastic evening and dinning experience because the cocktails are interesting twists on old favourites, the food is stunning taste sensations and the staff & service friendly and warm. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

    My friend and I had an amazing night out! Having diner in the Olivine winebar is a very special experience. Extremely warm welcome from the friendly Claudia who was our host/waitress on the evening. She gave us great food suggestions and accurate service. The sommelier is very knowledgeable and all the wines we had were from outstanding quality. We specially enjoyed the fact to be able to drink a glass of Premium wine so you aren’t stuck with a bottle of the same. Overal very friendly staff and a special location to dine. I can highly recommend.
