We consistently enjoy exceptional dining experiences at Cognoscenti, our only go-to Modern Australian restaurant in Melbourne. Every dish boasts a rich, decadent flavour. Pair it with a glass of wine ...perfect!

Service was fantastic and friendly; we felt welcomed. The cocktails were all without a doubt AMAZING: you could tell they had thought hard about the cocky blends and the snifter of gin we had was delicious (loved the process behind it): left alot of city joints in the dust that’s for sure: I’d love to do a gin tasting, based simply off the surprise snifter we were offered in between our courses (delicious and great back story!). The starters were all excellent, the mushroom pasta was very generous with the mushrooms (most places there’s only a suggestion of mushroom!) Very very tasty with just the right amount of cheese and pasta perfectly al dente. The tuna was incredible!! So soft, cooked with much respect to the fish, everything on the plate was simply delish. Ambience overall was on point, we felt relaxed and the interesting softly lit rooms off the main hall seemed very private, inviting and special, the front was great and fireplace was lovely!! The not so good point were that whilst it seemed super quiet we waited a very long time for our food, the lamb shank needed another hour (should fall off the bone), and the steak cut I would expect to have been more refined/higher quality for $50: it only came with chips but those the chips - omg - they were THE best we’ve ever had: everyone at the table agreed. We will dine here again and gin tasting. Definitely will ask to have our party of four sit in the room with the four armchairs: I loved that gin and cigar room vibe in gave off.

Nevedya is always a wonderful place to visit, going with friends or alone. I've recently been twice in two weeks and had their fabulous Khichadi which is so heart and soul warming. The staff are amazing too, so warm and friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is lovely too, I always sit out the back in the garden where there are heaters, comfortable sitting and a gorgeous garden. Well done Nevedya, you rock!

Another superb night! I’ve been coming here for almost 15 years; it’s my go-to catch up spot. Service was outstanding, and the teddybear foam art in my hot chocolate made my day! It was almost too cute to destroy by drinking it! Keep doing what y’all are doing, coz it’s working! Great service, atmosphere, fab food and drinks; see you next time!
