    We always have top notch service and food at DelFriscos in Pgh. In fact? Probably the best overall experience in town. Delicious cocktails, outstanding food, and honestly top notch servers! We’ve visited all of the high end restaurants in town, and frequented several that are no longer around. If someone asked for our recommendation on the best of the best in Pittsburgh, DelFriscos would be at the top of our list.

    OTARU was such a great experience for us on our date night!! I’m from Houston and I’m Japanese (as in my mom made me bento boxes to take for school lunch, that’s how serious my family is about Japanese food and culture) and I honestly have been so disappointed in the Japanese restaurants here in Pittsburgh since we moved, like honest to god if I see another dang palm sized sushi filled with avocado and questionable looking fish with godforsaken spicy mayo on top I WILL RIOT… but OTARU finally filled that hole in my heart lol I honestly don’t have good enough things to say about their menu to their service (shoutout Angela for the best service and good laughs) and quality of fresh fish and such a BEAUTIFUL restaurant with the best views. Truly so good and I hope they strive here because I plan on going back many many times!! If you are wondering if it’s worth going PLEASE GO!! You will not be disappointed :) (unless your expectation is avocado sushi, in which case: sorrows, sorrows… prayers) lol

    Another great evening at Monterey Bay Fish Grotto! My wife and I were celebrating an anniversary dinner and got a perfect table by the window overlooking downtown Pittsburgh. We started with a sampling of oysters, which were great. Not very big but meaty and tasty blue points. My wife got the seafood sampler and I got the blackened mahi mahi special, and both were excellent. The server, Renault, was excellent, and he was very attentive and made excellent suggestions for dinner.
