Welcome to The Elephant Restaurant The Elephant is a bright, informal restaurant which is situated near the beautiful Torbay harbour.     My husband and I visited The Angel bar on Saturday night whilst on holiday in Totnes The food was delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful. We had visited the Angel a couple of days before just for drinks and sat outside in the garden as it was a beautiful evening. I would very much recommend this venue for its excellent food and attentive staff. I would definitely be a regular if I lived in Totnes.

    Warm welcome and a fine lunchtime offering . Ham hock and green bean dish was a revelation with peach and lightest touch of fennel seed. Both the Loire white and Viognier wines were balanced, complex creatures that worked well with the unctuous and frankly outrageous chicken (with probably the best roast potatoes ever). Couldn't leave without a pud so had to share the blackcurrant ice cream but it was a tough ask after generous earlier portions. Fresh straightforward ingredients bedazzled by magic of fine stove work. Informal friendly service with good knowledge of their offerings. We'll be very happy regulars ....
