Best Romantic Restaurants in Chester

I’m giving rating Ladd’s 5-stars based on hostess, Bridget, our server Adi and valet attendant Larry. All went over and above to ensure our satisfaction and comfort. The room is spectacular, with food to match. There was an unfortunate incident with one of our dessert dishes (literally) - Bridget jumped into action and Adi had a replacement at the table in no time at all. So impressive. Upon leaving Larry had our cars ready and waiting. A perfect lunch thanks to caring employees.

The ambiance of the restaurant was great, there was a nice bar downstairs off the dining room, however, we arrived at 6:15 for 6:30 reservations, nearly half the bar had "reserved" on the seats, which it turns out was the owner, reserving seats for friends. No one sat in those seats for the 20 minutes or so we were at the bar and I wasn't allowed to even sit in one of the seats just to have a drink with my wife (who was sitting in the only non reserved open seat), while we waited for a table. That sort of put me off a bit. I understand reserving seats, but if someone's there to have a drink before dinner, is it that big a deal to let him sit down in the seat? If the people that they were reserved for showed up, I, and I believe anyone else, would have quickly relinquished the seat. He's the owner and he can do what he wants, but that was a bit off putting to me and tainted our overall experience.

From the valet parking, to Caitlyn taking photos of our special birthday group, everything is high touch. They make you feel like you are being welcomed into someone’s home with personal attention and kindness. The food was outstanding- salmon prepared perfectly, Scalops made as an entry and red snapper that came out of the sea onto your plate. Dinner here makes a special night superb!

I have always had an enjoyable experience at The Pluckemin Inn, and yesterday added another. The Peking Duck was outstanding! Service, excellent.

Lovely place with great service. Lots of choices from gourmet meals to burgers. White bean dip was served with amazing chops and big veggie slices. We will go back
