Best Restaurants with a Tasting Menu in Lewes

Tonight's Wine Tasting was a great experience! The food was phenomenal and helped improve the overall experience of good, inexpensive wines. The servers were excellent, too! My first wine tasting pairing at the Pines and would definitely participate again!

The food at this restaurant is excellent! I had the Virginia oysters on the half shell which were tiny, but very fresh, sweet and delicious. Others had the beet salad and crab hush puppies which I tasted and again fresh and delicious. 2 of us had the seared scallops which melted in our mouths. All the flavors of the sauce, the apples , cashews etc blended wonderfully. It was rich and satisfying. One person had the swordfish and reported it was also delicious. The restaurant is very small and my only complaint was that it was very loud which I have a hard time with. After I saw the outdoor seating area I was wishing we had been out there as it would have been quieter. It is mostly closed in and had a heater so we probably would not have been cold. All in all I highly recommend this restaurant.

We went for the Afternoon Tea which was a GREAT treat! We went at 4pm so we were the only ones in the restaurant and made us feel like it was a private party. It was a very unique experience to have a mixture of Indian appetizers and traditional finger sandwiches on one tray. We had our choice of tea flavors. Desserts were also included as part of the tray and there were many samples. We took our time and had a wonderful and peaceful time to relax and wind down from the day in downtown Lewes. It is definitely an experience that is worth it for a friend or two as a nice treat!

Our first time and it won't be the last!!! We had a great experience overall. Deb, our server, was excellent and efficient. The place was hopping for a Monday night and had a good vibe. The Damn Good Burger is now my GO TO burger!!! Juicy, perfect medium double patties, with all the toppings! Messy and great! Wild catfish sandwich and the lamb pita sandwich were also excellent! The oysters menu was extensive and the two we chose were DELICIOUS!!! The location is right in the center of town, so adds to the whole Lewes experience. It will definitely be our go to place!
