When we created Appartement 26, Vogue labelled it as” “Petit Palais” and the “Most Beautiful Rooms & Private events spaces in Melbourne.” It was initially created to house Anton Venoir’s private collection of 18th century fine French antiques and museum pieces and used by high end photographers whose works are splashed all over glossy front covers of magazines. We have opened our doors for our clients and guests to experience a piece a Paris. Hosting a series of bespoke events and private dining experiences around French decorative arts, food and wine.Appartement 26 Apartment 26 / 321 Chapel St. is an opulent Parisian salon in the heart of Melbourne's design and fashion precinct. There is nothing that will prepare you for the experience behind the standard-issued industrial door, marked "26". Behind it lies the world of Anton Venoir Interiors. A private salon, where guests are invited to enjoy the elegance and luxury of the latest acquisitions and collections.

    My wife and I dined at 5:30 ahead of a 7:30 concert at Hamer Hall. The place was about half full. Service was excellent. The food was good, although my lamb shank was a little tough. The happy hour drinks prices before 6pm were appreciated. We would definitely recommend The Barre, the only restaurant currently working at the Arts Centre.

    Very nice High Tea for special occasion. Quite pricey so would only go there for special occasion. Staff were friendly and chatty, but not very attentive. Had to ask for drinks menu twice (first person obviously forgot.) Had to walk to other side of restaurant to order second drink as no staff were in the vicinity for some time.

    My partner and I had the best dining experience with Chef Misaki. Every bite was delicious and she went above and beyond to make this experience intimate and unique.

    The staff and chef looked after us so well I had an incredible baby shower and did not have to worry about dietary requirements or anything. The vibe of the cafe is gorgeous with all the plants and pink tones. Will definitely be back
