Open Table - You should not have to verify me through the phone and then through an email. Sort your systems out. The main menu at Barre was not good - shanks, duck and T-bone are not good choices - what about a veal, chicken or filleted fish dish. The entrees were excellent as was the dessert and the service by the team of waiters. Great place.

We made a brunch booking to celebrate a birthday, and were not disappointed. The table of three sat outside, where the Cafe did their best to keep us out of the sun (we are all quite fair) despite the sunny morning. The food and drink we all ordered was delicious, and we never felt rushed, as we enjoyed our time together. The only negative experience was related to parking in the area. We did not notice the street signs and parked on the opposite side of the street, to the Cafe. Unfortunately this ended with a heavy fine, as the area is permit parking only.

We dined on Saturday evening. The food is not too fancy. Pretty straight forward. Good servings. The entrees were basic, fried cauliflower & calamari. The broccoli with the main (chicken) was not cooked, could cut it with a knife so had to leave it. The chicken was fine and tasty, my partner had the beef cheek, on mashed potatoe, he said it was good. The dessert was white chol. metifluer (can't pronounce it) too difficult to eat with a spoon, our hands were sore after trying to cut through the pastry, but it tasted nice. This is supposed to be 5 star hotel, I don't think it is. I would say it's 4 star. The server who took our order was really lovely and pleasant. The guy bringing the water around was friendly, but smelt of bad BO, and it wafted around as he was walking around, that can put you off your meal. We weren't let hungry which is a positive.

Very nice High Tea for special occasion. Quite pricey so would only go there for special occasion. Staff were friendly and chatty, but not very attentive. Had to ask for drinks menu twice (first person obviously forgot.) Had to walk to other side of restaurant to order second drink as no staff were in the vicinity for some time.
