Best Restaurants for Afternoon Coffee in Suidobashi / Jimbocho

A wonderful find….the set menu was a great value and excellent. I generally avoid multi-course, fixed price options as they tend to have too much food, food that is not well prepared and/or food that is too finicky/fussy. This was an exception. The portions are perfect, the flavors outstanding, the preparation perfect without being ‘fussy’. The service was aLeo excellent and unobtrusive. The restaurant interior looks a bit forlorn, but the cheerful atmosphere and the excellent food more than make up for the simple, plain decor. They have a very good wine selection at reasonable prices; however, the real draw is the food. Highly recommend.

Small restaurant with lovely ambience and very attentive service. Food very good although served the most expensive omakase without asking for it!

The omakase course was an amazing flurry of all different types of kushikatsu ranging from veggies, fish to meats. The staff was very kind and helpful to me and my limited Japanese. Definitely coming back when I return to Japan. ありがとう！
