Red Dog is an authentic Bar and American BAR-B-Q restaurant, serving 18-hour roast ribs, brisket, aged chuck steak burgers and much more, all best enjoyed with tasty cocktails or milkshakes.Barbeque grew up in the South of the USA where cooks learned to slow roast cuts of meat over fire pits to make them tender. Exposure to the smoke of the smouldering wood added a distinctive smoky and juicy taste to the meat. Our award-winning smokers have been imported from the USA and are built to recreate the cooking process of those original fire pits. We use the traditional American woods of hickory and mesquite to give a full smoke flavour, and the meat stays in the smoker for up to 18 hours.

We specialise in pho, the Vietnamese noodle soup, and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles and healthy salads, too. We also have loads of starters that are perfect for sharing with friends and family. Over a third of our menu is vegan, and nearly all of it is gluten-free, so we are a great destination for people who follow those particular diets. We are accredited by Coeliac UK.     honestly cannot fault Bear one bit!! have been to the hockley location twice in the space of a month and all i can say is that nothing is ever too much for the staff. aside from the fresh yet cosy space their food is just unreal (have been for breakfast on both occasions). The staff are really what makes it, they are just real people who love to help or make you experience as lovely as possible, nothing ever feels too much and they bring the great ambience. amazing, amazing amazing honestly

    Staff, venue, beer were excellent. Food was good, but really overpriced. Yes, it's a city centre location, yes it's a bbq joint...I get all that. But nearly £20 for a burger not much larger than McDs is excessive. Also, that's just the burger -- a small portion of fries was an additional £5. Include the fries, and £20 is fair considering. Staff were brilliant! Always about and always asking if we needed anything. I'd visit again to try other items on the menu.
