Best Restaurants for Quiet Conversation in Northwest Philly

Spice Finch is a warm, welcoming space where tables are not one on top of the other. The menu is eclectic, and the food, while good, is surprisingly lacking in the spice implied by the restaurant's name. A small plate steak kebab was high quality meat but the dipping sauce and tzatziki were both bland. Roasted beets were also well-prepared but needed more seasoning. My companion's lab ribs were excellent, although one out of three pieces was almost totally fat. The pumpkin roll dessert was the best part of the meal.

We had a lovely lunch and the service was impeccable. The restaurant was bright and sunny on a very cold day and we especially enjoyed the eggplant parm. The Caesar and seafood salads were also very good. Soup of the day was huge and delicious. Wonderful place to enjoy a leisurely lunch.

It was our first time at a kitchen, and everything was spectacular, from the service (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to Paul)?to the food, the atmosphere and the attention to detail. I’ll be back for my next special occasion!

Great experience! Our server, Yusef, made excellent recommendations and was so helpful and positive. His awesome service added a lot to our enjoyment of our dinner. The Marathon Mule, Blueberry Margarita, and Bogle Pinot Noir were delicious. The soy salmon and chicken pot pie were yummy.

The food is always good. A great “red gravy” meal if you wish. My comfort food is always there. Service is very attentive.
