The service is always great and food incredible with professional staff

The food and drinks were excellent and the service was very good. The servers tried very hard to make sure that we were served promptly and that everyone in our party got exactly what we ordered. The restaurant was a little louder than what we are used to but that is just the character of the venue. The two little wrinkles were something we have never seen before: 1. It is assumed that all guests are using a credit card and if you pay cash, the onus is on the customer to deduct the convenience fee from the bill. 2. We did pay by cash and the bill came to almost $600. When our server came to pick up our check and payment, she stood there at the table and counted the money in front of us instead of going off to the side or in the back to do so. That was offensive. We are a group of professional women who go out together once a month and choose a different restaurant each time. We tip well. There was no reason to treat us in such a suspicious manner. As the “host” of this month’s outing, I received excellent feedback on the food and the service but felt it important to note these two dings.

Had the opportunity to get lunch at Dolce Bene's and it was outstanding. If you are looking for a quite place with immediate impeccable service, this is the place to go!

awesome night good food an great service - never disappoints

Red Lobster South Plainfield, NJ is a good choice! We ordered two very good meals, the Seafarer's Feast and the Mariner's Feast (both in the $30.00 price range.) One platter was Fried Shrimp, grilled Maine Lobster tail, Garlic Shrimp, and a skewer of 4 fantastic scallops. The other was Fried Shrimp, the skewer of scallops, and Salmon topped with Langostino sauce. Each came with a choice of two sides and the Cheddar Bay biscuits. Our choices were garden salad and mashed potatoes. Everything was very good! Our waiter was new but very concerned about doing a good job; he checked with us several times, and I also heard him asking another customer if his cocktail had come out the way he requested. That customer was also very satisfied and joked with the server. Another server who recognized us (I was surprised by that), came over just to ask how our grandchildren were doing because she remembered their photos from a previous visit. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The only real drawback to most of the Red Lobster chain is the somewhat dated decor. I can live with that.
