Best Restaurants for Groups in Melrose

My wife and I had dinner at Margeaux Supper Parlor on June 28th. It was one of the best dining experiences we've had and we've eaten in some very good restaurants in our 61 y.o. marriage. Service was friendly, gracious, and helpful. Everything that we ordered was beautifully presented and delicious. This included arugula and fig salad, fried chicken with super cornbread and good coleslaw, shrimp and grits, ribeye steak, and lemon sorbet (the best I've ever had) and praline pecan pie that was perfect. Even their version of an old fashioned was special. Prices are moderate and the value is exceptionally good.

Food was delicious and overall experience was excellent

Overall we had a good experience. The kids had a blast playing games. The only issue I had was with the food service. When we walked in we were told the only sever they had on schedule called out sick. While I don’t blame that on the server, I do blame it on the management that would only schedule one server. That’s kind of crazy. After about 15 minutes, someone came to the table to take our drink and food order. She was very nice and apologetic for the slower than usual service. Food was ok. The arcade was good as usual, kids loved it.
