Best Restaurants for Groups in Niddrie

Even though Olivine is a wine bar, I mostly go there for the delicious food. The steak, chicken, terrine & pate, the brussels sprouts (swoon) and fries are all great. The wine's always good too. The fitout looks lovely, but sadly the designers prioritised form over function - the cell bench seating is really uncomfortable! Nevertheless, the ambience is great and I like the idea of us all collectively creating a new, more positive cultural memory to sit alongside the history of the place. If you haven't been, I definitely recommend a visit. Do leave time to check out the historical info in the unrestored cells; it feels important to honor and try to understand the story of the place while we're there.

Great staff and good priced meals,even though there was a party of 30 there they still got the meals out in good time.Great choice of meals for seniors as well,plenty of parking

What an incredible experience. From the moment I booked online, until I left. I can’t fault the restaurant, the staff were courteous, very attentive and accommodating. The food was tasty, different and delicious. The ambiance was soft sweet and had a good vibe. Sitting out doors, was cosy!!! Yep directly under a heater! The decor, tables, chairs was very old style yet fashionable and very delicate.. it’s a must..the price is quite reasonable.

Really enjoyed the environment. The food was good and the wine lovely. We did the tastings and we enjoyed that. Table service would have been nice, or some communication that you order at the bar as we waited a long time at our table for someone to come and serve us. Other than that it was great.

Great atmosphere and friendly service. Love the basketball ring but it's a bit tired seems like it's been hung on. Food was delicious and the tower beer really hot the spot
