Exceptional(410)
Price: Expensive
• Mexican • Melbourne CBD
Booked 26 times today
Finding harmony between authenticity and originality is something that first ignited the flame at Mesa Verde back in 2013 and continues to feed it today. While it’s fairly evident that an affinity for Mexican food and agave spirits is at the helm of what we do, our city’s rank on the culinary frontier has brought with it a particular nose for experimentation. So, since we’re very literally in the heart of Melbourne up here on the sixth floor of Curtin House, high above the city’s jugular Swanston Street, we feel it’s our responsibility to highlight what Mexican dining (and drinking) looks like in the eyes of the modern Melburnian. $10 Margaritas 4pm - 6pm daily.

Fantastic gluten free food, and the staff were amazingly helpful and patient. With enough notice (two days), Bodega Underground was able to accommodate pretty significant dietary restrictions - including no onion or garlic - crafting separate options from the menu. Would 100% recommend for anyone struggling with a gluten-free/Fodmap diet who misses amazing Mexican food. No notes.

NGL the socials pulled me in with the Biscoff tiramisu and it did not disappoint! Came here for my best friend’s birthday and couldn’t have picked a better restaurant to celebrate. The vibe inside was cosy and intimate but always buzzing with people coming in and out . Our server was the lovely Greta. She was so friendly, professional and attentive she made the night! Helped us decide what to get and also explained the dishes and always checked in to see if we were ok annnndd her recommendations were spot on 👌🏽you have to get the shisou so fine🍸 and broccolini. Oh and go there hungry! So much food you don’t wanna waste anything. Looking forward to the next trip to Maven for two reasons 1. Greta and 2. the pistachio cheesecake that looked too pretty to eat.
