Best Restaurants for Anniversaries in Van Nuys

First time visiting this restaurant, but we definitely will be back. The host was extremely gracious and welcoming. The menu is very comprehensive but our waiter skillfully guided us through it. We had the beet salad as a starter. It was huge (enough for four) and very enjoyable. For mains we had the veal schnitzel (simple but excellently executed) and the Tarragon soup. The soup was divine! Perfectly balanced with layers of flavor. We finished with the crepes which also were very good. Their wine list was also comprehensive. We wanted to try one of the Hungarian wines and the waiter was kind enough to do a quick taste test. We each found a wine we loved and which perfectly complemented the meal.

This is one of my favorite restaurants and I mistakenly shared this with my Jerry Springer wannabe of a family. The staff was so kind and patient and professional to the drama queens I regrettably unleashed on them. The food was amazing and timely, the host and waiters were their usual kind and attentive selves but went above and beyond to make my family's experience a great one, including offering to try going off menu and prepare something for one family member. I will forever be grateful for everyone there helping me navigate a very tense and embarrassing night for my family. Despite family drama, all members agreed the food was amazing, the staff was sweet and helpful, and the overall dining experience was great. Learn from my mistakes, leave the drama at home and savor your meal in bliss.

We had a fabulous evening at LaCava! Charming restaurant with great service and the most delicious food. We started with the best bruschetta ever and light artichoke salads. Our Branzino, Bolognese, Seafood Pasta and Pork Chop entrees were melting your mouth yummy! We ended the night with Profiteroles and Star shaped Pastries. We can’t wait to go back!
