Booked the Dumb Post for a family birthday lunch. The food was outstanding and combined with a vibrant atmosphere the family thoroughly enjoyed the birthday celebration

The food was well presented, tasty and generous. I'm not a fan of the "Sunday Lunch" experience generally as I prefer a wider choice (including fish) but sometimes it is unavoidable when hosting friends. Here at least the meals were excellent and the service friendly and attentive. I shall be returning to try the normal menu and look forward to the revised wine list too.

We had an amazing meal. We arrived early for a few drinks before. Service was fantastic the food was excellent we can’t wait to come back.

Welcoming staff and a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Food was very reasonably priced and delicious. The steak was particularly good value with a glass of house red thrown into the deal! My husband and I had different main courses and desserts and all dishes were scrumptious. Only niggle was the noise level as a large table of diners were rather loud so that it was difficult to hold a normal conversation with my husband across the table. I would go again but ask for a table at the back of the restaurant.

Absolutely love this place! My mum and I went for Sunday roast, both had the lamb, I can honestly say hand on heart THE best roast we've had to date. Love the staff, lovely welcome and recognised us, even though we've only been there twice and that was some months ago. Highly recommend this lovely old little pub....even the toilet was lovely and spotless with a lush smelling cream wash soap and hand lotion for after.
