We've been serving the people of Braintree and beyond since 2015 and in that time have humbly become ‘one of Essex’s best restaurants.’ We have received recognition from the AA, having been awarded an AA Rosette for ‘culinary excellence’ for five consecutive years, and then in 2023 we received our second rosette, putting the restaurant amongst the top 10 restaurants in Essex. Our food is of course one of our main focuses, but we don’t just stop there. Attentive, relaxed and friendly service is as important as the food and our objective is to make your visit an enjoyably memorable one. The House is quickly becoming our favourite place to relax with good food, a good wine choice and relaxed, efficient service, all with a smile. We will return very soon, safe in the knowledge that we will have another delightful meal and few hours of relaxation in the company of the fabulous team at the House.

A genuinely friendly welcome before being shown to our chosen table. Quickly served drinks and had the menu explained. Our starters and main courses were excellently cooked and presented. Each was also very tasty. No desserts were taken but generous Latte coffees finished off a good meal. The bill was quickly presented upon request and gave us good value for money.
