With quality stonework and attractive sloping edges Lock 10 is one of 46 along the Royal Canal and continues to be a testament to the skill of the craftsmen involved. Our bar is adjacent to the Lock Keepers House, a post that became obsolete in 1961 when the canal was closed to traffic the previous year. We had a good casual meal here. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food was pretty good. Noisier than it really should have been for a low-traffic evening, could turn the music down a notch in a concrete box with little sound absorption. But overall a nice spot.

I was always a fan of Elephant and Castle and this visit didn't diappoint. The weather was good so we sat outside but later moved inside. The bill was transferred to the new table without difficulty. The service was good and the food was excellent.
