The food was so delicious and they could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Such a beautiful spot too.

We had booked a table in pergola but when we got there we preferred to use the dining room and we were willingly transferred. The owner and staff were great … drinks and food ordered at table … the halibut and the lamb were recommended and both were delicious. The halibut was beautifully cooked with a cauliflower purée and lamb rump was tender and pink with a delicious jus. We had started by sharing Padron peppers and garlic prawns … both delicious. We shared a panna cotta tart for dessert which was less exciting (should it have had a wobble?) but didn’t detract from an excellent overall experience.

Food was very tasty and not too pricy, service was nice and fast, staff were polite and the building is lovely and characterful. Only issue I had was that it was a little bit noisy! Overall though definitely worth going for a nice lively dinner.

Not set foot in the Broad Face for twenty years, only met a friend there as it was a convenient location but so glad we did! Welcoed warmly, shown to our table, drinks ordered and arrived barely before we had sat down. An extensive menu, very reasonably priced and our hostess took time to.talk us through all the options. We ordered and the food arrived swiftly and was first rate, again our hostess checked without being intrusive if all was well and it was good. The pub has a lovely feel and has both booths and tables as well as places to sit if you just want a drink. Really impressed that a good lunch for two was well under £40 and wil be booking again for sure. First class from low expectations!
