Wonderful building with clever use if space. Old world bar area. Young and cheerful staff. Nice food.

A favourite;- as always, fantastic, fresh, locally-sourced food efficiently served by friendly, attentive staff. Laid-back ambience but lively enough - it's really nice to be able to have a conversation without struggling to make yourself heard!

The staff were very welcoming, helpful and chatty. Nice relaxed atmosphere and the food was really good value for money We had the carvery and everyone, including the kids, enjoyed it. Well presented and cooked. Will be going again to enjoy more offers.

Had a meal at Smallburgh crown for Father’s Day. There was 7 of us including 2 kids. The meal was lovely and very good value. Kids menu had a very good choice and the kids enjoyed the play area too.

We were the only 2 in there but I think the weather may have had something to do with that! However there was no excuse for the chicken Schnitzel to be very dry inside. The waitress was superb though, I think her name was Annalise (or something like that!). She was nice and bubbly.
