We are a family ran independent Italian restaurant specialising in rustic traditional Italian home-cooking.Owned and managed by Ferdinando Mercogliano and family, we have been at the heart of the Romiley community for over 38 years. Customer favourites include our fresh pasta and proper Neapolitan pizza, but you will also find a whole range of items on our menu including traditional Italian antipasti, grilled meats, seafood, risottos and more. Everyone is welcome here! Our noisy and lively atmosphere is reminiscent of old school trattorias in the backstreets of southern Italy and we pride ourselves on our friendly fast paced service. We have also recently opened a ground floor section with more of a laid back bistro vibe compared to the bustling chaos of upstairs. ...and of course, how could we not mention our popular Earlybird Offer?! Any pizza or pasta dish is available here for just £7.95 from 5 till 7:30pm, everyday except Fri-Sat and Mondays (we are closed Mondays)

THE APPEAL OF DAMON RUNYON, the New York storyteller, newspaperman and sportswriter came from his mastery, but also invention, of 1920s American slang – a mixture of the ‘louche and the lugubrious’ according to the New Yorker magazine. He would go to Lindy’s, an all-night Jewish deli on Broadway that became Mindy’s in his stories, and listen.Runyon married a down-on-her-luck Spanish countess from Madrid, 26 years his younger, who turned out to be an up-on-her-heels Mexican dancer from Tampico. When he died his ashes were taken up in a plane and sprinkled all over New York.

The succulent and flavourful roast meats ranging from Roast Duck, Crispy Belly Pork, and Honey Roast Pork served at Glamorous Restaurant make it a standout in the Chinese culinary scene. A great spot with a strong menu, good choice of beers (inc LA) wines and sparkling. Service was attentive and guidance really helpful. Over it all was the high quality food with superb flavours and on point cooking - especially the fish and steak. The vibe is really good - it’s not over flashy but clean and efficient. Top spot
